JNAN VIKAS MANDAL was established in 1974 as an educational Trust, registered under the BPT Act, 1950, No. BPT-F-3574. With a deep-rooted desire and a strong commitment to provide value-based education, which would also enhance the employability of the students. The Mandal started an English Medium School, which is the first of its kind in a remote suburb Kalwa. The Mandal is committed to cater to the academic needs of locals who are of middle & lower middle-income groups, with the majority being first-generation learners.

The mandal has successfully started and developed two educational institutes (a) New English School & Jr. College at Kalwa with 4000 students and (b) Jr. College and Mehta Degree College at Airoli, Navi Mumbai with over 5000 students taking education in various courses up to post graduation. We can proudly say that we provide education from Kg. to PG.

The Junior and Degree College were started in the year 2001 as the first college in Airoli, Navi Mumbai. The Degree college was re-accredited with an impressive A+ grade by NAAC with a CGPA of 3.31 in the third cycle. The college has grown into a multi-disciplinary educational institute affiliated with the University of Mumbai, offering eight UG courses, B.Com., B.Sc., B.Sc. (C.S.), B.Sc. (I.T.) BMS, BBI, BAF and BAMMC. Four PG courses, M.Sc. (Organic Chemistry), M.Sc. (Analytical Chemistry), MSc. (IT), M.Com. (Accountancy) and a Ph.D (Chemistry) research centre. The college has an association with Yashwantrao Chavan Maharashtra Open University (YCMOU) for the study centre of B.C.A. and M.C.A. courses. The institution has an enrollment of more than 3000 students in the UG and PG sections.
